First Annual FC Wisconsin Golf-Auction is Huge Success

July 14th, 2014 – On July 12th, FC Wisconsin continued to find success, growth and support, this time off the field in its first annual Golf outing and auction at Silver Spring Country club.  The event was set up to continue to raise funds for field and facility upkeep.  FC Wisconsin is the only club with two lighted turf fields.

“We have an incredible facility with two fully lit turf fields.  All players from the FC Wisconsin Family get to train on the fields including Junior Development through the U18 USSDA, NPL, and ECNL teams.  The money raised tonight will help to continue to keep the fields maintained and as the best facility in the state” said Co-DOC Ben Shepherd.

The day started with a golfing scramble at 12.00 noon with chances to win $10,000 for a hole in one, a flat screen television, cash prizes and plenty of fun had by all.

After the golf, the social, raffle and silent auction began at 5.00pm followed by a catered dinner at 6.30pm provided by the Country Club.

The raffle included:

1. Swansea City vs Chivas 4 tickets for July 16 value $280
2. Brewers vs Giants 4 tickets for August 6 value $224
3. Phillips dual dock/triple charge/alarm and $100 Apple gift card value $230
4. $300 cash

Seventy five auction items were on display for bidding.  Items included a week’s stay in Orlando Vacation home, Brewer ticket packages, Green Bay Packer Packages, World Cup jersey’s, signed Brewers baseballs, signed Packers football, Lake Geneva Canopy Tours and much much more.

“This event was a huge success.  To see the support from all the families was really nice and shows the continued support of the club.  This is yet another positive step forward for the club and for years to come” said Ben Shepherd.

We thank all families for their donations, bids and continued support of the program.

This event would not be possible without Peggy Flannery, Holli Gruss, and Curt Stubler .  Both Peggy and Holli organized the entire auction, solicited donors, set up the banquet room, set up online bidding for everyone, and finialized all bids.  Curt organized and ran the golf outing.

“This was amazing event organized by amazing people.  The amount of time and effort they put in to the event, the professionalism of the event, the auction and raffle items in the event was absolutely incredible.  We are so thankful for all their efforts” said Co-DOC Billy Solberg
